End of School Year Gifts

Before we get any further away from the last day of school, I'd better post what the girls made!
These were quick, last minute gifts (surprise, surprise, what's new with me) that the girls helped me put together for their teachers.  Luckily I had just unpacked some notebooks so we decorated the front.  Brianna's teacher retired at the end of the year and she cried when she opened hers - she loves purple and butterflies.  Her notebook uses some retired purple paper from the Enchanted pack, along with a butterfly stamp from the Find Your Style stamp set, and the quote stamp from Make It Count.  Kaylee's teacher's notebook uses retired Silhouette paper, a paper flower with Opaques Pearls that Kaylee put in the center, and the sentiment came from the Wonderful Friend stamp set.
This is the card we made for their bus driver - just using basic shapes to create the bus out of Sunflower, Black, and Gray cardstock.  The windows are cut out on the front of the card using my square Coluzzle, and the the girls stamped the people on the inside using the Family Ties stamp sets - they then colored them and wrote notes for their bus driver.  I thought the simple strip of black ribbon was a nice finish on the bus.

Cards for growing families!

I am so behind posting some of my card creations from this year! I have some posts scheduled for while I'm gone so hopefully I can at least start to catch up. Here are some cards I made a few months ago - there are lots of weddings and new babies this year so be watching for more in this category!

I made this card for my cousin who had a baby girl this spring. I used a fun tip that I had heard before but never tried - I wanted to pop dot the flower Stickease, so to make the back not sticky, I just rubbed it with some baby powder - works like a charm! Plus it gave the card a fresh baby scent ;-) I used Life Delights paper and Stickease and the sentiment came from the Random Thoughts stamp set.

Here is a card I made for a friend who got married this spring - this one was inspired by Tiffany Cheney - you can see her inspiration cards here. I don't think you can see it very well in the picture, but I used the tiniest clear Sparkles for the bride's earings. I used the Magic Moments paper pack and Family Ties stamp set.

I used this sketch from Mojo Monday

Here are some cards that I made for the birthdays and other events in January, February, and March...I just never got around to posting them until now ;-P

Birthday card for my BIL - using It's A Guy Thing paper, and Beautiful Things and Happy Birthday stamp sets
Birthday card for another BIL - using Sarsaparilla paper, and Lovely Buckles and Happy Birthday stamp sets

Birthday card for my friend, Colette (she likes Orange) - using Abundance paper, and Treasure Life and Happy Birthday stamp sets

Birthday card for my SIL (this was part of my March Word Puzzle Workshop) - using Emporium Creative Basics paper and Moments in Time stamp set

A non-traditional Wedding card for my dad who remarried in January - using Emporium paper and Noteworthy and For Every Occassion stamp sets

Birthday card I made for my Grandpa in December - using Simple Pleasure paper and Annotations stamp set

I made this one for my SIL, Sandy, using Emporium paper, and Confidential and Happy Birthday stamp sets - but I wasn't completely thrilled with it...

...so I made this one for her instead ;-P It's a lot simpler but I like it the best. I used Emporium again (can you tell it's one of my favorites) with the Happy Birthday stamp set (another favorite and most used sets)

I used this sketch from Caardvarks
Thank you card for my mom using Citrus Leaf Textured Cardstock and Adorable Backgrounds stamp set with the Solo T

Here are some cards that the girls helped me make for their friends - they stamped and colored the Family Ties stamp images - the notebook is for Kaylee's friend who got baptized.

Whew! Well that's it for now. I will have some more cards to post a little later. Thanks for looking!
