CTMH Spotlight Hop - Circle Cards

Welcome to this month's Close To My Heart Spotlight Blog Hop! If you came here from Nikka's blog, you are on the right track. If you are starting here, then just keep hopping along to see all of the other creations.
***
This month we are featuring Circle Cards - I forgot how much I love circle cards, I really should make them more often!  I like using the Colonial White and White Daisy circle cards and envelopes - I love that they come with their own envelope, I always struggled finding the right size before.  I also love the Clear Cards, I need to play around with those some more!
First up I have a card that I made for a niece's first birthday.  This one was really simple, I just cut a Hollyhock ring, a Blush piece for the sentiment, stamped and cut the candle using the Candlelight stamp set and Sophia papers, and added a few pink buttons.  I will admit, I always like to thread my buttons before I put them on a project, they just seem naked without something.  This time I made myself leave them plain - not so bad, right?
Here is another circle card that I made a while ago but haven't posted yet.  I also used the Sophia papers but this time with the You're Sweet stamp set.  I used Liquid Glass on the orange.
I have more circle cards posted below, but if you are ready to continue along the Blog Hop, the next stop is Amie!

These cards have been posted before, but if you missed them and want more details, just click on the card title to go to the previous post and find out more!

Thanks for looking - don't forget to hop along to Amie's Blog!

Thank You Cards

Here are some cards that I made last month but forgot to post - they all use one of my favorite new stamp sets called Thanks.

This one was for a club gathering that I had mid-May. I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I just LOVE the circle cards in the new Wishes book. This one is the Timeless Trio pattern. I used the Bella paper pack, Hollyhock RicRac (attached using Liquid Glass), and the faux stitch look came from the X in the Moments in Time stamp set. I used my Circle Coluzzle to cut the card out of a folded piece of CS - I love my Coluzzle and wish it weren't being discontinued! I can't wait to see what cutting system CTMH comes out with, though!

This one was the Make & Take for my Open House at the beginning of May - it also uses the new Bella paper. The card on the left was my original card, inspired by the Mini Combination pattern from Wishes (I changed mine to a 4x4) and the one on the right was inspired by my SIL Sandy - she came to my Open House and did her own thing with the papers I had pre-cut, and I loved the results so I did something similar!

Here is another card using the Thanks stamp set. I made two of these cards - one for Kaylee's soccer coach and one for Brianna's soccer coach at the end of their season. I used the Game On paper and the Let's Play Ball stamp set for the soccer ball - you can't tell in this picture, but the ball is raised on 3-D Foam Squares.

I used this sketch from Card Patterns.

Card Mania!

Here are some cards that I made for the birthdays and other events in January, February, and March...I just never got around to posting them until now ;-P
***
Birthday card for my BIL - using It's A Guy Thing paper, and Beautiful Things and Happy Birthday stamp sets
Birthday card for another BIL - using Sarsaparilla paper, and Lovely Buckles and Happy Birthday stamp sets

Birthday card for my friend, Colette (she likes Orange) - using Abundance paper, and Treasure Life and Happy Birthday stamp sets

Birthday card for my SIL (this was part of my March Word Puzzle Workshop) - using Emporium Creative Basics paper and Moments in Time stamp set

A non-traditional Wedding card for my dad who remarried in January - using Emporium paper and Noteworthy and For Every Occassion stamp sets

Birthday card I made for my Grandpa in December - using Simple Pleasure paper and Annotations stamp set

I made this one for my SIL, Sandy, using Emporium paper, and Confidential and Happy Birthday stamp sets - but I wasn't completely thrilled with it...

...so I made this one for her instead ;-P It's a lot simpler but I like it the best. I used Emporium again (can you tell it's one of my favorites) with the Happy Birthday stamp set (another favorite and most used sets)

I used this sketch from Caardvarks
Thank you card for my mom using Citrus Leaf Textured Cardstock and Adorable Backgrounds stamp set with the Solo T

Here are some cards that the girls helped me make for their friends - they stamped and colored the Family Ties stamp images - the notebook is for Kaylee's friend who got baptized.

Whew! Well that's it for now. I will have some more cards to post a little later. Thanks for looking!

Flower Child

Here is a page I did yesterday. I used a January 2009 PageMaps sketch - I love Becky's sketches! These pictures were taken the same day as the last 4 pages I have done - I must have been really camera-happy that day! But I think that day is finally done ;-)

For this page I used all CTMH Products: Dazzling Die-Cuts for the scalloped frame and the frame around the title, Sunflower Garden stamp set (retired), Flower Child stamp set (which I've had for a while now and have never used), Ritzy Ribbon stamp set, Cupcake Sprinkles for the stitches around the edge, and for the cross stitch marks, I used the 'X' from the Moments In Time stamp set (January Stamp of the Month). I also used Olive Buttons with Sunflower Waxy Flax, a Circle Window Charm on the Flower Child title, and 3-D foam squares and Liquid Glass on the flowers and leaves to make them pop. I love the new Big Circle Coluzzle template - I used that for the circle around the middle pic.

Mini Calendar

Here is the project that I made for my club that is meeting today - it's a mini calendar on a 4x4 coaster, using this month's Stamp of the Month, Moments in Time, and the NEW paper pack Unforgettable. I also used the numbers in the small Friendship Alphabet set for the year. There are six 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 squares for all of the months (one month on each side) and they can just pull it out when that month is over. These were inspired by those mini calendars that you get from various businesses each year. The clip that holds the months on also serves as a hanger.

January Cherish Challenge

So I've had these done since last year ;-P and I was going to post them on the 2nd but totally spaced it! Here they finally are - these are my pages for this month's Cherish Challenge. The right page is also the 12x12 option for this month's Word Puzzle Workshop. I will get the rest of the options posted soon - I promise! I used the NEW Emporium Creative Basics paper, StickStock Twill, NEW Pewter Designer Brads, March Word Puzzle, and this month's Stamp of the Month, Moments in Time.
