Wishes Pattern - Medalion
I will be honest - this was my least favorite stamp of the month set from the Summer Idea Book and I just couldn't see myself using it, but once I started playing with it I fell in love! It is such a fun set to heat emboss with. This first card is one that I made for my mom for her birthday - I always turn to purple and green for her. Using Olive embossing powder, I heat embossed my favorite image onto Smokey Plum, Garden Green, and Olive cardstock. Then I just cut and layered using 3-D Foam Squares. I even added a bit of Liquid Glass to the center of the flower just to make it pop a little more. I only used cardstock on this card - no patterned paper - I used Bamboo, Plum Mist (retired), Smokey Plum, Olive, and Garden Green. I also added a little bit of dry embossing, Garden Green brads, Smokey Plum ribbon, and Bamboo string (from the Promise of Spring accessory kit from a couple years ago). I created the scalloped circle using my corner rounder. Instead of edge distressing or DTP (direct to paper) distressing like I usually do, I softened it up by sponging the edges of the paper with coordinating ink. I'm really pleased with how this card turned out. Here is a picture to show you the dimension.
