Yes, now it feels like November!

On Saturday it was 76 degrees.  We took advantage of the nice weather on Saturday and roasted hot dogs and s'mores over our campfire.  We usually hear coyotes when we're out at the campfire but this night we heard an owl.
It didn't feel like late fall, but then I'm reminded, yes it's November and that means Kaylee's birthday!  Here is the birthday girl...

...with her presents

...blowing out her candle on her cake that she decorated...

It was a fun day!  Then as we were getting ready for school yesterday we saw this beautiful sunrise - my pictures don't even do it justice, the colors were gorgeous!

But not to worry, the wind blew yesterday and brought in a nice storm that started with rain and now finally snow and totally changed the scenery!  We haven't had snow this year until this morning - this is Wyoming, it seems like we always have snow by Halloween!  It's not that we're just dying to have winter here, we're just a little excited to see the white stuff for the first time in our new house ;-)  The kids were SO excited to wake up and see snow outside this morning.

Here is what it looked like about an hour ago in our backyard - I love the contrast with the red rocks, the white snow, and the green trees.  We now have just a little more than this skiff and I think it's beautiful!
Thanks for visiting - have a great week!

It is beautiful! Bethany was SO excited this morning to have snow. We didn't have any on the ground when we woke up, but around 7:30am it started snowing and of course we had to go out in our pajamas and catch snowflakes on our tongues. :)

What great pics. I think Colorado is going to see snow sometime in the next day or so as well.

Gorgeous country you live in with your beautiful family, Jena! Happy birthday to your super sweet Kaylee! I'm sure she had a great day. Love the photo of the campfire, too. Yummy and cozy for sure. We got our first snow yesterday, too...must be the same system. We also got something I hadn't seen before (or in so long I'd forgotten) snow pellets! Kinda like hail, only when it snowing. LOL

I was wondering if you were going to reveal the guess who from your previous post...LOL I know I made a comment, but I don't see it posted. Ah well, maybe Blogger burped again.

Have a great day, Jena!

Oh, Jena...you really must stop posting pictures of your awesome home!! If you keep this up, Jeff will REALLY want to move in with you guys...I'm not kidding!!

I know what you mean about blogging. I realized AFTER I posted that I don't really comment either! How's that for "pot calling kettle?" I've actually been printing my blog on this website "Blurb." It comes out in journal format with photos and everything...I love it!!

Don't worry...I'm not going private again. I just wanted to see who was still reading!! :)

See you soon!
