What to do with this hair?!?!

Hello everyone! We are back from the reunion - had a blast! I will be posting pictures soon, I'm just trying to catch up first and get ready for a birthday party today, so just a quick post for now! The girls have a hair appointment next week - I'm totally at a loss as to what to do with Brailee's hair - I've come here for suggestions!
***

Her problem is her bangs - they love to grow right down in her face. It's been so hard but we've actually been growing them out since February when she got that cute little bob cut. I think she looks better without bangs, but they just don't stay out of her face without a hair clip or pony tails, which never stay in long for my little 2 1/2 year old independent girl! Here are some pics of her hair - should I continue to grow out her bangs and hope they will eventually stay out of her face - or should we cut them again?

This was her hair right before we cut it off into a cute little bob - I think her bangs look cute here, but of course I had curled them, which she doesn't let me do often.

Here is her hair out of her face.

And here is her hair in her face as it usually is - Cousin It!

Well, she looks cute in all of these pictures. My vote is to probably keep bangs until she gets a bit older if they can't be kept out of her face. Hard choices.

I would also do the bangs with her, I have had bangs my whole life and hate them(have to always have em cut, and I would butcher them) so I never have given our daughters bangs. But on Brailee I would, her cute lil cheeks just are too precious with bangs!!! Just my point of view...

I agree with Mindy - she definitely looks a lot cuter and more girly girly with the bangs. Just keep them trimmed. I know, easier said then done eh?

the bob definetely fits her spunky personality.

ask the stylist what would be best to stay out of her face and not hide those gorgeous eyes and twinkly smile.

love you tons!

I don't know about where you are, but here in Canada in the dollar store they have these little elastics (I think I've found them in Walmar too) where you get 200 for $5 or something. Usually people use them for lots of little braids. I used them on 2 year olds haair because she take them out...they almost stick to the hair. Because they are so cheap, rather than pull her hair to get them out, if they were stubborn, we just cut them out. They worked fabulously.

However, mine now has bangs, and wears glasses. We've found hairdressers always leave the bangs too long and they "ride" on the top of her glasses. So, I just insist that they cut them shorter...sometimes up to 3/4 of an inch shorter than the hairdresser wants. She still looks cute and we dont' have to go running back every 2 weeks for a trim.

P.S. Your kids are gorgeous, and your artwork is great too!

Your adorable Brailee reminds me of our DDs hair in their eyes--I think the bangs are definitely keepers for her cutey petutey face!

I placed a piece of masking tape from side to side, with the top edge of the tape where I wanted the bangs to hang. Then cut along that top edge of the tape. Then gently pull away the tape and the cut off hair sticks to it. (Maybe you already have tried this! If not, HTH!) It saved me a lot of in between trips to the hair dressers for the Emily & Bethany. Blessings!

She is adorable with whatever style. I love the scarf!! That one makes her look so grown up. TFS

She is so cute! My youngest never let me do anything with her hair either, so she had to have bangs. I vote for the bangs. Both of my girls now have grown out their bangs, and I do like it better as they pull them back right out of their face. I am sure when Brailee is older you will be able to do the same.
