Okay, thanks to the wind blowing like crazy and keeping my internet flickering in and out since last night, I took a little break from my blogging catch-up. The wind has died down a bit so I'm back now and here I go again!

We really enjoy our home - I can't really call it new anymore because we've been here almost a year. How time flies!
I love our view of the canyon.
The kids still love exploring...
We love hanging out at our campfire. Sunday we did Tin Foil Dinners - the kids enjoyed coming up with their own combinations.
Brailee was being a Smoke Bender Sunday afternoon.
Trysten loves getting dirty and playing with sticks and rocks...which there are plenty of around here...
...and chillaxing in the hammock (that we really need to replace soon!)
We enjoy our yard visitors - these bucks have their antlers growing in right now.
We see a few does in the front every once in a while.
I got a bird house for Mother's Day last year and some bird feeders this year and we finally got them put up - we enjoy watching the birds.
These Mountain Bluebirds are our favorites but they don't seem to like our bird feeders - we need to find another way to attract them.

This is the birdhouse - we were surprised to see birds checking it out within an hour of putting it up. We haven't seen much action there since so we'll see what happens. It was interesting to learn about the different types of birds and where the best area is to put up a birdhouse.

We've seen a few baby Cottontails around lately.
Unfortunately we've also seen our first snake! It's a bull snake, and from what we've read they keep the rattlesnakes away and are not poisonous . They can be 'grumpy' snakes and will mimic rattlesnakes and can bite if they are provoked, but this one seemed pretty calm. We've had a few talks about snakes so hopefully everyone stays safe!
Do those look like clouds in the distance?
It's actually the snow that is still in the mountains.
Thanks for joining me on a walk through our neck of the woods - I hope you enjoyed it!
